Starship Dance Registration Policies for 2011-2012
Mail in (or drop off) Registrations: will be accepted starting August 1st, 2011. A registration form is available for printing from the Home page of StarshipDance.com. Mail-in or drop off registrations will be given preference from day of delivery and must be accompanied by a completed registration form and the appropriate deposit. Confirmation of classes will be sent via email (or postal mail by request) prior to the start of the dance term.
All Pre-registered dancers must have a completed form and $200 deposit received by SDS prior to July 1st, 2011. No pre-registration forms will be accepted after June 30th, 2011. All successfully pre-registered dancers will have preference over all other dancers for enrollment into any given class. Any dancers, who pre-registered, must choose the specific classes that he / she wishes to enroll in for the coming dance year on or before August “In-Studio” day (8/20/11), to retain their preferential status. Additionally, prior to or during the "In-Studio" day, all pre-registered dancers must complete the full registration form and provide the necessary deposit for enrolled classes, less the $200.00 deposit previously paid. Failing to complete registration will result in loss of preference.
"In studio" registration will be held on August 20, 2011. Registrations will be taken in person at the Studio on this day. Placement interviews to allow dancers to be placed in the appropriate level will be given. All dancers are encouraged to come out to registration / demonstration day and meet the director / instructors or reconnect to the studio after a summer away. If a dancer cannot attend registration day, confirmation of level must be obtained by agreement of director for all advanced level classes. Trial classes are available free of charge at registration day on August 20, 2011 or upon request to the director or the instructor of any given class during the dance year.
Transfer from one class to another class can be accomplished by permission of director. Any additional fees are due prior to beginning the new dance class(es). No separate fee will be charged for changing classes, only the additional tuition due to the type or amount of classes registered. Refunds are only given during the first six weeks, prorated.
A 5% discount for class fees will be given to any dancer whose total dance fees for 2011-2012 are paid in full by the "in studio" registration day. This discount does not apply to the registration fee of $25 or to any class which runs for less than the full 2011-2012 dance year (i.e. adult, part year, or workshop classes).
A 15% Sibling Discount will be given to the second sibling registered in same class in adult / child classes for young children only.
Class fees paid in full or in part are refundable, on a pro-rated basis, up to five weeks into the dance year. After this point, all class fees are due in full to Starship Dance for the entire 2011-2012 dance year. Credits or refunds will be made at the director's sole discretion. All requests for health credits or refunds must be accompanied by a physician's letter defining date and duration of injury / health concern to be given consideration by the director.
A 3% late fee per month may be added to any balance that is 30 days overdue.
